The first draft is the ugliest.
It’s inevitable, so accept it and carry on or you’ll be stuck perfecting the first draft forever.
Look on the bright side, every time you need a new piece of content, it doesn’t have to be perfect the first go around.
Now I’m not saying to publish that first draft, but let it flow and then worry about rewrites and edits. Stop waiting to “feel” like writing and just write what you think. It’s as simple as that.
Don’t be afraid of what ends up on your screen or paper. There will be good. There will be bad. And there will definitely be ugly. However, there will be words, and that is an accomplishment.
You didn’t give up and you now have your first ugly draft.
Now it’s time to start the second, which will probably still be ugly, just hopefully less than the first.
